Financial Assistance

Community Caring in Bridgewater provides financial assistance to seniors facing unexpected hardships. Through grants and funding from state, federal, and nonprofit organizations, we offer support with medical expenses, heating and energy bills, and other emergency situations. Our goal is to provide a helping hand when it's needed most, allowing our neighbors to remain safe, comfortable, and independent.

Guidance and Support

Community Caring in Bridgewater works closely with the Town of Bridgewater, the Agent for the Elderly, and the Senior Center to connect residents with helpful resources and programs. We also work with Dawn McNutt, the town's Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), to provide guidance and support to those in need. Together, we strive to reduce isolation, encourage community connections, and help our older neighbors maintain their independence and quality of life.

Help with Chores

Sometimes the smallest household tasks can become the biggest challenges. Whether it's a stubborn window, a door that won't close properly, removing a window air conditioner, changing a hard-to-reach light bulb, or replacing a smoke detector battery, Community Caring in Bridgewater is here to lend a hand.

Through our network of volunteers, including local students participating in community service, we help residents with everyday chores and seasonal household tasks. We also maintain a list of trusted local service providers for jobs requiring additional assistance. Any arrangements for paid services are made directly between the resident and the provider.

Community Services

Pills and Bottle

Community Caring in Bridgewater offers practical programs designed to help keep our neighbors safe and secure. Our community paper shredding events provide a convenient way to dispose of sensitive documents, while prescription drug take-back programs encourage the safe disposal of unused or expired medications. We also offer a Senior Home Energy Assessment & Safety Review program to help older residents identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and address potential safety concerns in their homes.

Connecting Neighbors

Longtime friends

At the heart of Community Caring in Bridgewater is the belief that no one should feel alone or disconnected from their community. We help bring neighbors together by connecting residents with volunteers, local resources, and opportunities for friendship and companionship. Whether it's a friendly visit, a helping hand, or simply knowing there's someone to call, we strive to reduce isolation and strengthen the connections that make Bridgewater such a special place to call home.
